My hopefully healthy 2016 – August – More False Promises???????

Monday 1st August

So another month and more promises to head to the gym on a regular basis. WE SHALL SEE!!!!!!! Workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Same plan throughout session, finishing on backrest bike. Short and sweet and very simple. That is the new plan – lets hope I can stick to it!!!!!!!

Tuesday 2nd August

Back in for day 2 – my new regime has begun with plan for every other day to focus on sit ups and weights with less cardio. Workout as follows:- backrest bike to start followed by sit ups, crunches and arms and legs lift ups. Return to backrest bike followed by free weights. Leg weights next, followed by cross trainer with backrest bike to finish. bit of a crash and burn afterwards with choc0 bought and a takeaway but such is life – key is how I react over the next few days.

Wednesday 3rd August

So already done as many days this month as last month – says more about my lack of motivation and laziness – heyho – new month new targets – semi reaching them as after this workout I had yesterdays takeaway leftovers and the rest of the choco – yum yum yum. Workout as follows:- backrest bike to start alternating with cross trainer. Then onto some leg weights followed by pull weights. Backrest bike to finish.

Thursday 4th August

Workout as follows:- backrest bike to start followed by free weights. Return to backrest bike followed by by sit ups and crunches followed by more backrest bike action. Onto cross trainer with backrest bike to finish. Job done – 4 days in and doing what I should be in at least I am attending. Tomorrow could be interesting – no gym bag to work so will have to come home first – need to willpower myself out of the house for the workout – here’s hoping.

Friday 5th August

Went home and then went to gym – very much hoping attitude stays like this as need to do it as choco and a sandwich bought afterwards!!!!!!! Anyways workout as follows:- backrest bike to start alternating with cross trainer, then onto arms and legs sit ups / crunches followed by some leg weights then pull weights. Return to backrest bike then cross trainer, with backrest bike to finish. 5 days in (August) 5 sessions. Break tomorrow cinema and some footie watching and maybe a drink or 3 – important to get back on the horse Sunday though.

Sunday 7th August

So my day off the gym consisted of cinema, watching some FA Cup footie, 3 ciders, a lovely ham hock (with tomato and mustard mayo) sandwich on bloomer bread – with a double helping of chips (skinny fries and chunky) oh and the choco. So back on track today, though out later for my mates 40th (will be filling my boots big time) and maybe for Community Shield so a couple ciders will be drunk. Heyho – it is the weekend – anyways workout as follows:- backrest bike to start alternating with cross trainer. Then onto pull weights followed by backrest bike then sit ups / crunches / arms and legs sit ups. Return to back rest bike, then  cross trainer with backrest bike to finish.

Monday 8th August

Another week and I have to say motivation low for some reason made it to gym though so some bonus anyways.  Workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Then onto leg weights and free weights followed by a return to the backrest bike. Cross trainer followed with backrest bike to finish.  

Wednesday 10th August

Bit of a blip yesterday, had a sore shoulders and bad knee but could still have easily just stuck to an all cardio workout. Nearly didn’t make it today – motivation low various reasons. Anyways for today workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike, then more leg weights to finish. Food intake been poor these last two days – not helping with the regime – somethings got to give at some point I suppose – might have to think again about my plan and goals.

Thursday 11th August

Virtually the same again with workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike to finish. Again food intake not great today, though you always need refilling – just need to hold out over the next couple of weeks with at least attending the gym being a given. Sit ups likely to make a return tomorrow – weights on Saturday. 

Saturday 13th August

Bit of a break yesterday – Olympic viewing was required – busy day today but got a good session in, with the aforementioned sit ups returning as promised even if a day late. Workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike. Then onto sit  ups, crunches and arms and legs lift ups with backrest bike to finish. Poor food intake – YET AGAIN – difficult day, long story – work needs doing and attendance tomorrow (back on the weights too hopefully) key especially as late night watching Olympics and the footie tomorrow, which is likely gonna mean a couple of pints.

Sunday 14th August

Late night Olympic viewing meant I was not totally sure I would make it today – but my last alarm got me up so no excuses, though nearly bailed beforehand anyways as I had to get some shopping in before the gym. Anyways workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike. Then onto pull weights with backrest bike to finish. Was at pub later on cos of football so a couple of pints polished off, then had a bit of a food fest with a sandwich, crisps, croissant and pain au chocolat – heyho it is the weekend an all, as previously written key is getting AND going to gym, I like my current workout and need to continue.

Monday 15th August

Food intake good whilst at work, unfortunately choco (milk and white) hit after gym – not really needed just available – but very nice mind!!!!!!! Anyways workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Moving onto free weights then some leg weights before backrest bike to finish.

Tuesday 16th August

Todays workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Onto leg weights followed by backrest bike. Then onto arms and legs lift ups followed by backrest bike, then some pull weights with backrest bike to finish.  As I write this food intake minimal – lets hope it stays that way hey!!!!!!!

Wednesday 17th August

Todays workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike. Then onto sit  ups and crunches with backrest bike to finish.

Friday 19th August

After a day off yesterday – early finish from work to get one in today so made some progress. So workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer, some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike. Moving onto free weights then backrest bike followed by sit ups and crunches with backrest bike to finish.  Heavy next couple of nights to come – thinking of sneaking in  a Saturday session – we shall see!!!!!!!

Monday 22nd August

No Saturday or Sunday session – the bad old days of laziness returned (being hungover doesn’t help mind) at least I returned back today after a very unhealthy weekend. Plan for a bit of a detox week, started off well by at least going to day so far but five days is a long long long time and choco cookie intake not great after my time at the gym. Anyways for today workout as follows:- backrest bike to begin alternating with cross trainer. Some leg weights in between at one point followed by backrest bike. Then onto a double set of pull weights alternating with backrest bike.  Job done for today – we’ll see for the rest of the week, motivation not at its highest I have to say.

AND IT WAS ALL GOING SO WELL, LAST TUESDAY 23RD AUGUST I LEFT WORK FULLY INTENDING ON GOING TO THE GYM BUT NEVER MADE IT THINKING I WOULD MAKE THE NEXT DAY – I DIDNT AND THIS HAS CONTINUED UNTIL NOW – PLAN IS FOR DOUBLE SESSIONS COME SEPTEMBER (pre Ibiza) – AS MEMBERSHIP HAS TO BE CARRIED OVER NOW UNTIL AT LEAST CHRISTMAS. AS ALWAYS WORK TO DO!!!!!!!

I have gone early with the posting of this blog as I know I will not be going to the gym tomorrow (31st August). This month has been a decent, compared to previous ones but my lack of will power at the end is poor. If I want to become healthy I cannot let these lapses occur. Roll on September – as mentioned plan is double sessions – pre Ibiza – starting Sept 2nd – I have a decent reason for not going 1st Sept, which will be explained in the blog.
